The Dog Rose can grow up to 1-5 meters tall, depending on how much support it has.

The blooms then turn to hips. Small red fruit's that contain the plants seed. (shown below)
The plant has hooked thorns located on the stem that have a similar shape to dogs canines. They are used to climb higher. (shown below)
Challenges and Adaptations
Most rose species are rather short, however the Dog Rose can grow relatively tall, due to its hooked thorns. This adaptation benefits the plant as it means it is more likely to be exposed to sunlight, thus making photosynthesis a more obtainable process.
